I have 2 grown up Boys and 4 lovely grandsons and 1 chatterbox of a grandaughter another grandaughter due soon.I have always done some sort of craft and up until about 14 years ago when I saw a craft shop full of stamps and that was the beginning of my card making.

I loved stamping but then found CD's so changed to Decoupage which I loved and still do but that lead me into Digi's and coloring with a lot of help from my sister I really enjoy it. I started with Promarkers then i got into Spectrum Noir then I have just started to use there pencils.

Autumn Leaves - Crafting Vicky

Hello everyone!  It's my 2nd inspiration card for the month and since our theme for the month is Die cuts or punches, you know that I will at least use a die!!!

For my card I decided to go with an image that is totally perfect for the season that is coming in Canada which is fall.  We are really starting to feel the colder mornings and nights!  I will have to put my summer clothes away :(  oh well but it will be very pretty with the trees changing colors soon.

So the image that I have used is Autumn Leaves
Digital Stamp-Autumn Leaves, Digi Stamp, Coloring page, Printable Line art for Card and Craft Supply
So here's what I have made with her :)  I went with some fall colors :)

I used a some dies to cut out the digi and cardstock.  For more details please come over to my blog.

Here's a closer look at the digi that I colored with my copics

So what do you think?!  Isn't she just adorable?!?  She almost makes me want to pick up the leaves... I did say almost lol

Guest Designer - Julie Price - 2nd creation

Good morning, it's already the time for the second creation from our Guest Designer for the month of September Julie Price.

In case you missed her introduction here it is again.  However I'm sure that most of you already know this fabulous lady and her art.

Hi, I'm Julie from Sydney Australia, I've been married to my lovely husband for almost 30 years and we have 2 adult children. I have been crafting in some form or another for as long as I can remember.  love to colour with Copic Markers and teach colouring classes at my local Paper craft store, I enjoy creating in the Shabby Chic style with lots of layers and embellishments, I also love 3D projects and create them when I have the time.
And here's what the fabulous Julie did with Lunar Deity.

Julie was good enough with us to give us a description of what she did.
I really enjoyed creating this one, very whimsical

The card was created using some star templates I had in my stash, I covered them with my favourite Maja Sofiero papers and added my usual die cuts and flowers to set the scene. My gorgeous Lunar Deity image is coloured with Copics and the moon has a swirl pattern added with Kindy Glitz. For full details pop by my blog Stamps, Paper, Ribbons and Things http://julieprice3.wordpress.com and take a look.

Have a wonderful day Hugs Julie P

Here's the closer look at the card

Wow totally stunning. I think you will agree with me that she did an awesome job showcasing this beautiful image. And totally adore the shabby chic look!!!!  The soft colors are just fabulous and love the shimmer on the image.

Falling in with Shaylee and a giveaway!

Hello crafty friends!  Tammy Louise with you at the ArtbyMiran blog today.  It's Tuesday morning and Autumn has struck the state of Michigan this week, the leaves are becoming red and gold and it inspired me to design Shaylee from Art by Miran with the beautiful colors of autumn today!

This sweet little fairy with glitter in her hair and blushing cheeks was just a delight to color!  Her wings are fluttering among the flowers while she gazes off into the future of the season to come!  A simple card base of lovely My Minds Eye dp and some great ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbons and some of my new WOC stamens in white, brought this card together beautifully!

Anyway, I hope to have inspired you to grab a fairy and color with the tones of autumn!  As always, have fun!

Tutorial time!!

Hi Art by Mi Ran fans!!

It's Sandra here, and I have a very special post with you to share today, because this is the first official Art by MiRan tutorial!

I would like to show you all, how to create a little scene behind a coloured image. Believe me, this sounds harder than it is!

Supplies:
- Colored image
(I used Stephanie brings a surprise, which is only available when you are subscribed to Through the Craft Room door Magazine)
- Ruler
- Copic Multiliner
- Grey, Green and Blue alcohol markers.

Take your ruler, and draw a horizontal line with your Copic Multiliner. Twist the image, and draw some oblique lines, to create a pavement.

Accent the lines with a Copic Marker C7, and blend it out with C5 and C3. Now your pavement is
ready.

Start scribbling some bushes above the pavement with G46, and make some scribbles in the bushes too. Blend it out with your G43, and your bushes are finished.

Now we want to create a sky, so take your BG10 marker and draw some clouds. Blend them out on the outside line with your BG000. Do not blend inside the cloud. Now color the full sky with BG0000, and your background is finished

And here is my finished card, and a close up of the image. For the rest of the supplies and details youcan check my blog Crea-Sandra

This was it for today, I hope you all like it! If there are any questions about the tutorial, please ask!

Hugs, Sandra
